#9.1 - 'The impact of Fair-Trade and Organic Foods.'
Donald Nordeng, An expert in Organic foods, Testing & Certification will show a short video on the impact of organic and fair trade certification in India. He will then talk about Ecocert Certification of organic foods and how organic works to give small farmers everywhere a value to add to agricultural commodities allowing them to compete with industrialized agriculture.

The destruction of rain forest to provide 'green' Palm Oil is one of the single biggest emitters of Carbon Dioxide on the planet. Can Palm Oil be sustainably grown and can it make sense? Where are good examples of companies doing it right?
Juan Pablo campos of Daabon Organic will share how some companies are getting it right.
Daabon Group is a certified organic and sustainable palm, banana and coffee grower based in the Santa Marta region, northern Colombia. As the Global awareness of environmental and social unjust practices among large scale palm plantation operators and owners in Malaysia and Indonesia continues to grow, Daabon has been an active player in the Round Table of Sustainable Palm Oil discussions, looking to set rules and restrictions that will stop further deforestation, community displacements and wildlife endangerment in that part of the world. The presentation will go share some successful schemes of cooperation with small holders in Colombia , as well as the basic foundation of our organic and sustainable agricultural model. Finally, we will explain our presence in Asia and to what extent the Japanese food and cosmetics industry is willing to engage in responsible ingredient sourcing

Living in the fast city of Tokyo and wanting to go back to the countryside, one French girl got in the train to breath fresh air of the country and discovered some amazing organic vegetable to bring back to the Tokyo friend. How does the Vegetable Consumption Among American, French and Japanese differ? The different climate has an effect on the vegetable agriculture in which way? How does the japanese organic farmers live? Did you try an organic vegetable set delivery with some french original recipes?
