Presentation #1
Mokugift: Empowering corporations & individuals to make a positive environmental and social contribution.
Overview
Due to the many empowering social tools available today such as Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, and Ning, as well as contact and scheduling services such as Plaxo, it has become easier then ever to reach thousands, even millions, of people. To this extent, the notion that any person or corporation should be easily and quickly able to contribute to fighting such issues as global warming and poverty at the click of the button isn`t a fantastical stretch of the imagination.
Kevin Smith from Mokugift Japan will introduce mokugift.jp, Japan`s first online tree gifting service launched in Japan in March of this year. Mokugift`s online services allow users and individuals to plant trees starting at $3 (300 yen). Mr. Smith's presentation will explain how the trees planted by Mokugift and its partners benefit the environment and local communities while also demonstrating some effective models for use in corporate marketing, PR, Advertising and CSR campaigns.

Kevin Smith is Executive Director at MOKUGIFT Co., Ltd. and Vice President, Business Development & Marketing at eBase Solutions.
