Description: With the world readying for the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference and the increasing focus on a low-carbon global economy, preparing for and mitigating the effects of legislation and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction initiatives have become increasingly imperative for businesses to maintain a competitive edge in a carbon constrained world.

Identifying climate risk is just the first step, and many leading companies are looking to quantify both the risks and opportunities arising from climate change.

John Curtis, Global Head of Sustainability for ERM, a leading environmental consultancy, will discuss how companies are no longer just identifying risk, but using tools to quantify the effects of climate change, providing practical examples of the predicted financial impact on business, including both mitigation and adaptation scenarios.

Mr. Curtis will also look beyond climate change to the next wave of environmental issues and quantification tools.

NOTE1: This meeting is OFF THE RECORD

NOTE2: If you cancel after the stated deadline, the full meeting fee will be charged to your account. All guests must be accompanied by an ACCJ member. Sorry, no substitutions or walk-ins.
